During World War II a group of scientists got together in the desert in New Mexico at Los Alamos Laboratory, and were led by J. Robert Oppenheimer to create a bomb that could wipe out entire cities, with the aim to end the war. Based on the non-fiction book ‘American Prometheus’ by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, this new drama from Christopher Nolan takes a look at the life of the scientist at the heart of the Manhattan Project who developed a stunning new technology upon the world, and unleashed a power that exposed the dark heart of humanity.
