Experienced piano tuner Harry Horowitz is getting older and training up his shy apprentice Niki who has hyperacusis, highly sensitive hearing. The young tuner’s skills draw the attention of a criminal gang who lure him into a lucrative side-hustle, shortly before he falls for music composition student Ruthie. Part rom-com, part thriller, this is a warm and entertaining film with a vivid character, a compelling central performance from Leo Woodall (The White Lotus; One Day) and an incredible jazz score from Marius de Vries.
