Films at Chapter 2 – 22 February

We’re celebrating LGBTQ+ History month with an array of events celebrating LGBTQ+ talent in film and cinema. We recently kicked off the celebrations with the fabulous Welsh Ballroom Community who led a discussion after a screening of Monica.

Iris Prize is On The Move and present a collection of short films that explores looking for love, finding love, and human connections, and All Of Us Strangers continues into February.

Queer activist Aubrey Gordon stars in Jeanie Finlay’s heartfelt documentary Your Fat Friend + recorded Q&A before each screening, and we’re screening Ice Cream Fever as part of JFTFP24, which weaves together the intricate tales of women.

Sarah Gregory joins us for an introduction to The Color Purple + a post-film discussion on the emotional impact of the film in our Cinema Foyer.

The unsettling relationship we have between myth and history in Y Wladfa is confronted in Felipe Gálvez’ latest film The Settlers, and Jonathan Glazer’s adaptation of The Zone of Interest examines the ordinary existence of people complicit in horrific crimes.

Feast your eyes on two mouth-watering films to celebrate the launch of our new food menu in the caffi bar! We’re screening the French romantic foodie film The Taste of Things and Disney’s Ratatouille to celebrate.
