Deeply troubled after learning of the suicide of a patient, spiky and intense psychoanalyst Lilian Steiner suspects foul play. Enlisting the help of her ex-husband, the two begin a chaotic investigation that takes them into unexpected places, causing Lilian to unravel. This sleek, suspenseful, wry mystery thriller with nods to Hitchcock and Brian De Palma, is a captivating return to the big screen for Oscar-winning Jodie Foster (acting mostly in French) and features a cameo from sadly departed master filmmaker Frederick Wiseman.
