In the 1990s, 8-year-old Sasha is settling into her new life in Vancouver Island in Canada after their move from Hungary when her older stepbrother begins acting out in self-destructive ways. Through her eyes we see the family try to support Jeremy as his behaviour become increasingly volatile. This semi-autobiographical film is a moving, sensitive and beautifully shot study of family trauma and memory as we try to understand our loved ones and the shifts in perspective afforded by time.
