About the artists

Natifah White is a Nottingham-based dance artist currently applying movement principles to reimagine archive and library systems. She describes her work as a referential web spanning performance (credits include: Seke Chimutengwende, Florence Peake, SERAFINE 1369 and Elinor Lewis/ Joe Garbett) and a personal practice based on guiding questions.

Anushiye Yarnell is an interdisciplinary artist whose work spans movement, sound, voice, text, drawing, participation and alternative pedagogies. Her work congregates in symbiotic, anti-segregative ways of being. She examines the intersections of dream and fantasy realms with ordinary life to find connections between day-to-day experiences of the world and anthropological, philosophical, poetic, and artistic frameworks.

Florence Peake has been creating bold, interdisciplinary work since 1995, presenting widely across the UK and internationally. Her practice brings together movement, sculpture, painting and text to create immersive, unpredictable performances that explore the relationship between body and material.

Bakani Pick-Up was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and moved to the UK in 2005. Their dance journey began in Zimbabwe, they was fortunate to attend schools that nurtured their passion for movement. After completing their A Levels, Bakani trained in Choreography at Falmouth University and Trinity Laban. Since graduating, they have worked with artists including Grace Wales Bonner, Anthea Hamilton, Theo Clinkard and Fevered Sleep. Alongside their movement practice, Bakani has worked as a Choreographer, Writer, Lecturer, Researcher and Programmer.
