GOD OF CARNAGE is a biting satire by Yasmina Reza whose multi award winning play ART Everyman Theatre produced in 2023. It takes you deep into the most dangerous place on Earth. Parenthood.
This internationally acclaimed play won both the 2009 Olivier Award for Best Comedy and the Tony Award for Best Play and was adapted into the acclaimed 2011 film CARNAGE, directed by Roman Polanski and starring Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz and John C Reilly.
A black comedy of manners. Without the manners.
What happens when two sets of parents meet up to deal with the unruly behaviour of their children? A calm and rational debate between grown-ups about the need to teach kids how to behave properly? Or a hysterical night of name-calling, tantrums and tears before bedtime? Boys will be boys, but the adults are worse – much worse.
