Reciprocal Gestures: movement in dialogue is a two-day programme of expanded dance and movement, gathering artists and communities to explore the sustaining and transformative potential of movement-based practices.

In partnership with Chapter, tactileBOSCH present a live performance developed through a one-off workshop with Florence Peake, a London-based artist working across performance, movement and visual art.

With a desire to be held in darkness and to dance within it, the ensemble performance has developed from the workshop process. “I have been looking at the choreography of casting methods for the project Your Meaning Not Your Materiality - the duet between the container that holds a form and the liquid that is poured in, solidifies and occupies".

This activity is part of tB25: The Fist Inside the Velvet Glove, celebrating 25 years of tactileBOSCH supporting experimental artists.

About the artist

tactileBOSCH is an artist-led live art collective based in Wales. Since 2001, it has reactivated disused and marginal spaces across Cardiff and beyond, creating temporary environments where performance, installation, sound, and social encounter collide. tactileBOSCH supports artists working at the edges of practice and brings audiences together for experimental, unpredictable live encounters

Florence Peake has been creating bold, interdisciplinary work since 1995, presenting widely across the UK and internationally. Her practice brings together movement, sculpture, painting and text to create immersive, unpredictable performances that explore the relationship between body and material.
