Chapter’s October Highlights
- Published:
A whole new art programme begins this month. Take a stroll to see Jade de Montserrat’s glowing marigolds across our entrance, visit Ntiense Eno-Amooquaye's new exhibition Crashing the Glass Slippers in our gallery which spans photography, performance, drawings, fashion and textiles, and enjoy Dale Holmes' Toilscape for Lithic Child Art in the Bar installation over a coffee.
Our autumn/winter performance season ranges performances, talks, workshops, parties and special events to find community while thinking critically and collectively about the ways we live. Coming up this month is Goner by Marikiscrycrycry, following a figure on a sensuous, suspense-filled choreographic journey. The Welsh Ballroom Community bring us their Bad B Kiki Ball on Halloween weekend, and following this, Ocean Hester Stefan Chillingworth presents Blood Show: a trans celebration of destroying things, including ourselves, to create something new.
Film festival season launches with an exciting line-up of films from across the world, including homegrown Japanese Animation Festival: Kotatsu from 5-6 October. Plus join us for the best of LGBTQ+ films with Iris Prize on Sunday 13 October, where we’re screening The Best of Iris 2024, Vera and the Pleasure of Others and Perfect Endings.
